The Association of Friends of the National Museum of Music (AAMNM) is a non-profit cultural association that aims to collaborate with the National Museum of Music by supporting the enriching and promotion of its collections and fostering its activities. In doing so, it seeks to contribute to the protection, preservation, and dissemination of the national musical heritage.

Since its foundation, the AAMNM has been committed to:
- Collaborating with the management of the National Museum of Music in the implementation and development of its activities;
- Promoting awareness of the National Museum of Music in its various social roles and cultural functions, through its own initiatives and activities, both among its members and the general public,;
- Establishing exchanges with national and international institutions to facilitate the sharing of experiences and knowledge between the National Museum of Music and these entities;
- Cooperating with similar associations;
- Developing innovative communication strategies with different sectors of the business world and the general public to promote the museum's collections and activities;
- Organizing volunteer initiatives and patronage programmes to support the museum;
- Enriching the National Museum of Music's collection, within its means, as well as improving its technical resources, particularly in terms of museographic, scientific, educational, archival, laboratory, and bibliographic materials;
- Maintaining relationships with individuals and organizations considered relevant to achieving its goals.
